Another Mirrorball Trophy is up for grabs! As the season gets closer, more and more professional dancers have been revealed ahead of the September 8 cast announcement. Dancing With The Stars Season 31 is to be annexed with crackerjack professional dancers. Thus, avid viewers must watch out for this year’s exciting season to unfold.
9 Professional Dancers Revealed After Kristyn Burtt Dropped Spoilers
While Disney+ has not yet announced the final slate of professional dancers for this season, insider Kristyn Burtt revealed the 15 pros that viewers can expect. Britt Stewart, Peta Murgatroyd, Sharna Burgess, Emma Slater, and Koko Iwasaki are the women joining this year. They will be together with Disney-confirmed six professionals who are seen on the promo.
Murgatroyd surprised fans amid her comeback to the talent show. With this amazing news, fans counted on Maksim Chmerkovskiy to be on the pro list, but much to their dismay.
On the other hand, Koko Iwasaki is the season’s brand-new dancing professional to flare up the ballroom. Similar with other pros in the show, she came from dance competition series So You Think You Can Dance where she was recognized as Season 14 runner-up.
Meanwhile, Val Chmerkovskiy, Alan Bersten, Gleb Savchenko, Louis Van Amstel are some of the men to compete in the upcoming season. All these males are returning professionals from DWTS.
Although these returning professionals together with a new one create a stunning match-up, fans cannot help but to notice other pros that have departed from the list, like Jenna Johnson and Lindsay Arnold. Fans were aware that Johnson wouldn’t be returning, since she is carrying her first child, but Arnold’s departure from the series came as a surprise to many.
In previously released promotional content, the talent show teased six returning pros through fleet appearances. Among these professionals are last season’s winner Daniella Karagach, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Pasha Pashkov, Brandon Armstrong and Cheryl Burke.
Just recently, Karagach posted some behind-the-scene photos and videos of their promo shoot. The reigning champion was seen enjoying with other cast members.
Who are DWTS Troupe Members This Season?
DWTS Season 31 will also be bringing the troupe back in the cast. In line with this, Ezra Sosa, Alexis Warr, Kateryna Klishyna, and Sasha Farber are expected to make their appearance on the upcoming show.
Warr and Klishnya are new faces to look out for. Warr recently won So You Think You Can Dance Season 17. Klishnya, on the other hand, had joined DWTS Georgia before. Her presence was seen on set at Disneyland.
Farber’s return to the DWTS troupe was a surprise, since he hasn’t appeared as a trope member since 2013. Following his year as a trope member, he was promoted to professional dancer. He has remained as a professional since 2014. Fans are unsure as to why Farber was demoted for the season, especially when his split from fellow pro Emma Slater just became public knowledge.
After almost two decades of airing on ABC, Dancing With The Stars is set to stream on Disney+ on Monday, September 19. Amazingly, audiences get to watch this season free from commercials. Disney+ has yet to divulge the full list of the cast, including the celebrities that will complete the marvelous pack this season. Hence, with several confirmed names laid down, DWTS Season 31 better be a remarkable era.
