With the premiere of America’s Got Talent on the rise, Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Terry Crews sat down to talk about their behind the scenes struggles.

Within the interview, Vergara and Klum explain that auditions are their least favorite portion of the season. The fashion forward females hate this portion of the season because they have to wear the same outfit for several days.
During the first few weeks of America’s Got Talent, judges are always seen wearing the same outfit. They’re are always dressed the same throughout filming to create continuity between each day of auditions. Since this portion of the season is edited, this format makes it feel like all of the acts took the stage on the same day.
“I think this is the hardest for us because sometimes were like five days in the same look and honestly the outfit can walk by itself,” Klum said. “We’re always talking to one another, we’re like again the same outfit!”

The female judges emphasized that by day five their outfits have a completely different fit. Typically, the different fit involves stretching of the material. Vergara noted that the red carpets are the worst, since they’re expected to wear the stretched out outfit in public.
Since the ladies were complaining about their struggles, Cowell joked about an alternative. Instead of wearing fashionable outfits, they should all have uniforms that spell out AGT. Even though Vergara hated the idea, Klum agreed to try out the new dress code if Cowell agreed to let her pick out an outfit for him. Fans are hoping to see the outfit exchange happen during the live shows this season.

In a different portion of the interview, Cowell explained that Vergara’s introduction to the series cursed the other judges. Her involvement in the series came with a long line of injuries for the other judges. Soon after Vergara joined AGT in season 15 (2020), her co stars either got sick or hurt in someway.
Klum explained that she fell ill soon after meeting the actress, while Cowell first got sick and then got into his electronic bike accident. Even beloved host, Crews, agreed with his co stars’ statements. In rebuttal, Vergara explained that her co stars think she “was trying to judge the whole show.”
America’s Got Talent returns to NBC on Tuesday, May 31 from 8 to 10 p.m. ET.
