Season 29 Dancing with the Stars winner Kaitlyn Bristowe was recently a guest on Cheryl Burke’s podcast Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans. During their conversation, Bristowe shared that pro dancer Alan Bersten won’t talk to her after she called him a “d*ck.”
Kaitlyn Bristowe Says Alan Bersten Won’t Talk to Her
In September, Bristowe talked to fellow Bachelorette alum Charity Lawson about participating on DWTS. She tried to predict which pro dancer Lawson would be paired with. Bristowe suggested that it could be Alan Bersten, adding, “He’s kind of a d*ck, but I can see it. Well, they’re all d*cks.”
Bersten apparently took offense at the joke, saying in an interview, “I take a lot of pride in my work and I make sure that above all else, my partners feel comfortable and confident in themselves.”
“Alan still won’t talk to me. He walked right past me on Dancing With the Stars. He won’t call me back. And I have profusely apologized on my podcast,” Bristowe told Burke. “I always call Alan a d*ck. I always call Sasha [Farber] a d*ck. I call them all d*cks, in the most loving way.”
Although Bristowe was partnered with Artem Chigvintsev on DWTS, she and Bersten struck up a friendship. As she told Burke, “I truly would want Alan as a partner if they ever did All-Stars, because he is such a solid friend to me. We are so close.”

Bristowe Speaks Highly of Artem Chigvintsev
During her appearance on Burke’s podcast, Bristowe spoke highly of her partner Artem Chigvintsev, saying, “I don’t think I would have won with any other partner, because of how much he believed in me and pushed me.”
Outside of the ballroom, Bristowe called Chigvintsev “an angel,” adding, “Everybody speaks so highly of him. He is so kind. He is to himself and shy and has gone through a lot. I really adore him as a human being.”
Bristowe said it was unfortunate that they were competing during the early days of the pandemic, and Chigvintsev wasn’t able to spend as much time as he wanted with his wife Nikki Garcia and their son Matteo.
She added that Chigvintsev was good at helping her visualize their dance routines during rehearsal. Bristowe shared that he was “really patient with me,” and that he believed in her “more than I believed in myself.”
